'Octopus Contrapunctus' is a collaboration with U.K. based writer and visual artist douglas park that started in may 2016 and had its premier at west gallery in the hague in june 2016 and had two following performances in september 2016 at jan dhaese gallery.
the octopus in animal symbolism has fascinating spiritual attributes. being a strange-looking creature moving throughout the sea gracefully yet almost eerily, an odd physical composition as well as unique behavior (camouflage and regenerative ability) have led to symbolizing purity, mysticism, emotions, psychic communication, infinity ( ∞ ) and innate creativity. the octopus brings revealing dreams and vivid memories, transcending time and space and even bringing back past lives and incarnations.
